Community Fundraising
Giving something back
Owner Dave Lewis is a committed and passionate fundraiser and in addition to volunteering as a Poppy Appeal Organiser with the Royal British Legion has over the last few years devised, delivered and participated in several charity events in both the UK and Europe. This included managing a team of 8 cyclists, who rode from Nottingham to Monaco in 10 days. Being hands on, driving the support vehicle, cooking for them, as well as riding part of the route, enabled him to gain a greater understanding of the time and effort people are prepared to give for others. He has recently provided his services for free to the clear trees in a garden, as part of a makeover for a family, to enable a memorial bench to be set up in memory of their son, a Royal Anglian soldier who was sadly killed in Afghanistan.
